Synopsis
After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. From melting makeup to shooting in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about them. The character was cast during the production of "The Penguin." Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022) but failed. However, for his own series, the character is depicted as an occasional tobacco user, preferring cigars.
The Penguin is awesome
An umbrella falls down and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Wow.
I was wrong
Everyone knows what a great actor Colin Farrell is, but he’s unrecognizable as The Penguin here. I’m not surprised that he was nominated for some awards for his role here. The biggest surprise was Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone. When I heard that she was nominated for the role of actress, I wasn’t too sure, she’s a good actress but I didn’t think this role was for her.
This is how you do it DC
She’s just as good as Farrell here and Sofia Falcone is a true rival to The Penguin. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets nominated for some awards for her role here. This isn’t your average DC or Marvel show, it’s a full-on gangster series. The series takes place in the underworld of a now-demolished Gotham City and is a great follow-up to Matt Reeves’ Batman.
