Synopsis
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island
To survive in a harsh environment, Roz forms bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned goose. Lupita Nyong’o joins writer-director Chris Sanders to discuss notable credits and their time together making The Wild Robot. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for “The Wild Robot” came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree.

He then asked the question “What would an intelligent robot do in the wild?” When the fox enters the cabin, a moose growls near the door, but the sound effect used is a recording of a bear. Roz: [from the trailer] Sometimes in order to survive, you have to become more than what you were programmed to be. Paddler and Fink plant a tree together.

When I saw this movie, I was unfamiliar with the book so I went in blind and boy was I not disappointed.
I always love when movies leave a lasting impact on you and this one definitely did
I loved the movie from start to finish because of the animation style, the characters, the soundtrack, and the different themes within the movie. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to cry during this movie but I did… three times. It was very simple, yet complex in terms of the themes it conveyed, and I highly recommend that people of all ages watch this film.
