You don’t really get into his predicament
Synopsis
An anthology series about high-profile crimes or killers that captured the public’s attention and notoriety. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says they had a rule, from Ryan Murphy [creator] going into the series: that it would never be told from Dahmer’s point of view. “As an audience, you don’t really sympathize with him.
Featured in Jeremy Vine: Episode #5195 (2022)
You kind of look at him from the outside.” In many episodes, a 3M Command(TM) comic book is shown in the kitchen of Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment, this is set in 1991 at the latest. 3M released its first wave of Command(TM) products in 1996. I knew very little about the Menendez brothers.
But that’s about it
I knew about the murders and the sexual assault defense. The sordid side of the story kept me at a distance but now in this captivating series by Ryan Murphy, I was hooked from the first episode. I could watch it as a work of fiction but the fact that it is a true story made me go back and read about it.
Oh my God!
There are no sympathetic characters in this saga but very good performances and that’s enough to keep you glued to it. And then I discovered Cooper Koch as Erik Menendez. He took possession of my senses from beginning to end, including in the episode where it’s just him.
He will make you watch the series again soon
His superb performance and the humanity he finds in his monster makes you want to rethink everything and believe in him.
