Synopsis
Out of prison, mobster Dwight “The General”; Manfred is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely characters. Sylvester Stallone’s first leading role in a television series. Dwight & #x27; General' Manfredi: I don’t really go to church.

The opening credits sequence features a variety of photographic and painted images, as well as Oklahoma landmarks superimposed on the New York landscape: the Touch the Clouds statue of a Sioux Indian chief; wears War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (chest plate) attached to the Brooklyn Bridge Gold Digger statue placed on top of the Statue of Liberty. There are several numbered “Avenues” in the Manhattan borough of New York; which are crossed by smaller numbered streets.. Sylvester Stallone absolutely kills it in Tulsa King!
Sheridan continues to hit home runs
For Stallone to make a TV show, you knew it had to be a good script, and of course it was going to be made with Taylor Sheridan. He’s the best thing going on television right now with incredible shows like Yellowstone, 1883, The Mayor of Kingstown, and more. And movies like Sicario, Hell or High Water and Wind River.
I mean come on?
Everything he touches turns to gold. Also, one of the other writers is Terence Winter, who wrote shows like The Sopranos & Boardwalk Empire. It wasn’t like this show was bad with those two at the helm.
Stallone plays the very likable tough guy to perfection
It has everything you want in a good show…drama, violence, comedy, etc. i.e. See our Yellowstone review; Season 5, Episode 2, "The Squid Game" Season 2 and more of the most anticipated new and returning series coming to TV and streaming.
