for the final performance of Razzle Dazzle
Beautiful That Way, performed by Miley Cyrus. When I heard about this film I immediately thought of this year’s “Substance”. Both Pamela Anderson and Demi Moore are actresses who were big stars in their youth and their careers “were closely tied” to their looks and at a certain age they stopped getting roles in prestigious Hollywood productions, but this year they have landed roles that allow them to be on the lips of viewers again.
Pamela on the other hand
However, Demi performed phenomenally in an extremely original and daring body horror and her role will be remembered as one of the best comebacks in the history of cinema. well, she acts well in that movie and shows that she can be a good dramatic actress, but she is held back by the movie itself, which is too formulaic, takes no risks and doesn’t delve into the psychology of the main character, not to mention the completely unwritten secondary characters. There are some interesting plot points, including: clashes between the characters over which of the performances they undertake in various clubs is art and which is pornography, but these interesting moments are quickly cut short in favor of sentimental scenes and no burgers, as Pamela dances on the street in Las Vegas.
I also don’t understand why sometimes the shots are so weirdly blurry at the beginning of the movie??
I didn’t like Jamie Lee Curtis in this one, who acts as if she were in a completely different movie than the others. The plot is pretty predictable: we know how the conflicts between the characters will be resolved and that some elements introduced at the beginning will return at the end. I think it was supposed to be part of the artistic vision, but it was done so awkwardly and inconsistently that it feels more like an accident.
You’ll probably watch it and forget about it afterwards
But at least “The Last Showgirl” is only 1 hour and 25 minutes long, so it’s not a tiring experience.
