As a first time reader of the manga, I was quite skeptical at first because I liked the writing and art style of the manga, and I thought that an anime adaptation of such an ambitious and genre-oriented manga would be toned down in terms of both drawing and animation.
Ever since the first episode came out, I’ve been looking forward to the next one week after week, because it doesn’t compare to the manga, and sometimes even better
especially when I saw the first images (I was very skeptical that there were few details about the characters), but all these fears soon dissipated when I finally heard What does Science SARU do, not to mention their recent lineup of Scott Pilgrim, Devilman Crybaby, and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken all fit the craziness and vibe of DandaDan, and studio founder Masaaki Yuasa is one of my favorite anime directors/animators ever времен, worked on such shows as Ping Pong, Tatami Galaxy and again Devilman. I was worried mainly because it was the first anime I read first, but now I know that Dandadan has proven itself not only as a phenomenal manga, but also as a great anime.
